The Importance of Domestic Cricket for Indian Cricketers
The importance of overall domestic cricket structure has reduced to a large extent. The whole cricketing landscape has been revolving around this two and a half months of IPL which may soon become three months. So effectively for Indian international cricketers the priority is to manage their workload so that they miss out as little as possible from IPL, says MS Dhoni. If you are a fit for IPL, if you get a longer run upfront in the tournament, if you are impressive that becomes a ladder to your place in India's team.
