I worry that we are taking some tactical steps again, even if legal, that from a strategic perspective actually play into our adversaries and goals. It's also perfectly reasonable for democracies to take actions based on national security risks and act in self-defense. I think in the case of TikTok, there are and these decisions can be made on a case-by-case basis as they have under prior presidents like banks.
