In the second phase of the war, russia has improved its military situation. In eastern ukraine, it has completed the occupation of a hundred percent of the lugans ret more than 60 % of the donets region has been occupied. Presently, there is a pause in operations. A russian military forces are resting and refitting. There has b a substantial attrition of the main fighting battalions of the ukranian arm forces. They have fought very well, but in the last several weeks, they have taken severe losses.
