The Old Testament Points to Christ

In the old testament you had the human priest and the animal sacrifice. Now jesus combines those, offering himself to god as an unblemished sacrifice. So our spiritual worship now under the new testament, now that jesus has come, is to offer ourselves to god in this way. And i think malachi, his particular message here is that god will only get the best from us when we know he's not finished with us yet. We should be giving him everything - a small poxy temple really isn't good enough because it doesn't have any holy places or sanctuaries of its own.
