i think cities in my view should be run by mayors like they like one unitary executive some amount of check from uh like an equivalent of a legislature but the reality is the check is going to come from the state. i would make it much easier to build housing that's sort of a no-brainer and also I would set up regional stronger regional transit authorities that can you know sort of preempt local policies to build trains. repeal prop 13 rather than race to the bottom, more japan style zoning codes which makes it easier for people to get into the city from other cities or gerrymandered districts with idiosyncratic politics such as dean Preston.
