The Importance of Time in Software Development

Jason: Most large software projects fail. They have failed through history and we've got no better at building large software projects in the entire history of something said, maybe we've gotten worse. The longer the more complicated the project, the more deceivingly specific people believe they can be. We give ourselves on all normal feature development to six weeks, right? And we're off even on six weeks. It's very often off by at least a week, sometimes even two weeks. You never catch up because you're late one day at a time,. You can't jump suddenly leap into things if you were this far away from your original goal.
