Charles grave mcmillan has just published two books and is working on his third. His new book looks at the 1847 crisis as a case study to say that we should stop looking at british banking crises as little local events of paracule imported specific of london these had big negative consequences around the world when the city of london had a cough the rest of the british empire would catch a cold or or flu or or even die of famine. The currency school has a lot to answer for it's not just bad for british history it's also been bad for global history, he says.
