How Do You Use a Rotating Magnetic Field to Guide Bacteria?
The string of iron oxide nano crystals is like a compass needle for diamonds. It's really the torque they experience and magnetic material aligns from an external magnetic field. So in essence, you use a rotating magnetic field because that almost creates whirlpools. And then if there is a gap that they can crawl through, they're more likely to crawl through it.
