How Has Your Role at Amplitude Changed Over the Years?

Spencer: Your role at Amplitude has evolved so much over time and you've worn so many different hats. So I think there's kind of three eras, I guess. Maybe actually four eras in my time at Amplitude. When we raised our series B in early 2016, that's when a switch flipped for me where I realized I was no longer building a product, I was building a company. And then I'd say probably around, we were 10 people or so and we started really having a sizable engineering team - that's when you start to put on your manager hat.
