Accessibility and HCI and the Tech Industry - How Do They Interact?
I was really interested in what you were saying as well around the forms of structural injustice and oppression that lead to these kinds of narratives. I also went to ask for your thoughts on how does ableism and HCI and the tech industry intersect and interact other kinds of oppression such as sexism and racism. So there are some very practical examples in that one intersection is just by erasure, so we tend to have a focus in accessibility on designing for the most privileged people. But I've been working on a project that explores this in a little bit more of like kind of a specific way. It's about justice oriented approaches to AI and bias.
