Sally Kohn: These are the calcite bowls and we discovered that there is iron oxide deposits inside of these bowls. So again, you have to imagine these crystal bowls were sheathed with this shining copper. And it just blows my mind, tried to envision all of Egypt's sites in their original condition. She says her theory addresses functionality of the structures as related to practical applications. It makes a lot of sense for an ancient civilization to put all of the time and material and effort into building these things if they were going to be of benefit for the civilization overall.
