How Much Did You Get Paid?
Sally Kohn: I've worked in retail for two years. My salary was something like $7.25 is what I got paid in Connecticut. But now we're talking to New York City, and so they were like, okay, Joe, we'll give you an increase of $8.25 per hour. She says she's aware that inequality is so real; when people assign you a paycheck, it often has nothing to do with your skill. "I can't tell somebody how to save money if they don't have access to money in the first place"
