You're One of My Favorite Authors

Hazel: It's so interesting to hear you talk about the complexities of your relationship with your work. I mean, it's definitely a difficult thing to have something out in the world for years and years after you were last able to a touch it and change it. You never know if that makes you a better writer or a worse one. All my books, even the day after they come out, i have to say to myself, like this is something that i did in a period of my life  that reflected my very best attempt to write the best story i could. That'sall it can be. And you have to let go of it. Ha ha, ha, ha
