The Evolution of Life on Mars
Only last month, NASA's Curiosity mission showed evidence on a sandstone bedding plane. These are ripples that we could go down to any beach in the country and see forming at the present day. Mars probably just didn't have the time when it was possibly habitable to evolve more complex forms of life. It took on Earth, macroscopic life forms, three billion years to evolve.
