Charles Darwin: Why are so called white people referred to as caucasians? It all goes back to the eighteenth century, to one german anatomist named blumenbach whoa in the attempt to determine how many races there were in the world. He found a perfect skull that he believed god had originally created from which every other type of human being had descended. So he used this label caucasian, from the caucasus mountains, for people we would later come to call white. And that simply became the scientific term that stock. We know it has nothing to do with intelligence or creativity or anything like that. It just has to doit.
