Christian faith depends crucially on the fact that there's someone in space, time, and history who's suffered and risen from the dead. Atheism doesn't have that. And you see, that goes back Michael, to your earlier point of those statistics. People who are secure tend to be less religious. But actually we need saving desperately, although we don't see it.
