Is Libertarianism the Same as the Classical Liberal System?
I think everyone is in some form of tension nowadays if you're really considering the political landscape. I think libertarianism, what Richard Weaver calls the chirping sectories of libertarianism has always been advocated by a relatively small percentage of the population. Those people don't go out to deliberately destroy traditional norms, mores and customs and institutions. But when libertarian plays out, it definitely has that effect in many respects. This goes all the way back to the cultural contradictions of capitalism. When we run out of capital like crazy, our system is going to fall apart.
