The Death of Elizabeth I
Goodie Simons stayed the night with Elizabeth to watch over her. She would wake up periodically and claim that she was being pricked with pins. And unfortunately, Elizabeth did not recover ever. Her fever worsened and she passed away on February 23rd of 1657. The investigation had already begun by the time Elizabeth had died. They wanted to determine at that point if she had been murdered or witchcraft had been involved.
