Why Do Reviewer Comments Have to Be So Mean?
It is very difficult to not take it personally. The most annoying reviewer comments are the ones where you feel like they really didn't understand what you were going for. Those are the most annoying because then how do you really answer that? You are just repeating yourself sometime. So there are definitely differences in the reviewers. I think review two is indeed is often the problem child although a review three can also be quite annoying.
