Are You Sharing Stories of Immigrants?

I think part of what I'm hearing from you is that in relationship you have felt the majority of the burden to connect by being more aware and flexible. In my experience as an immigrant and also becoming a mom here, it has impacted a lot raising kids in this culture because we come from a different way of disciplines. So at the time when we were living in California, we didn't have any friends who spoke Spanish, we were surrounded just by English speakers. It's really, it makes a difference really even raising kids how you are accepted or not, how you feel your identity in that culture.
