The Problem With the Electoral College
The people aren't supposed to elect the president. It's supposed to be like Congress. The Electoral College was built on the same answer as what is representation in the U.S. John Adams writes, slots on government back in the 18th century. And he tells us that representation should naturally adhere to occupation. We think of representation now in terms of identity politics.
