Is the Fed Overestimating the Strength of the Consumer Right Now?
Economy is not overheating. The economy is just moderate at best, and arguably poised to already slow. Consumers are still very much relying on an accumulated savings as a result of very generous federal programmes. Will we see a technical recession? That's a question for whether or not the fed can identify the weakness and then pull back after a series of rate encreaces.
