The Global Presence of Hip Hop in the World

This is an exhibition unlike any other for me as a curator in that most of the loans did not come from museums. Most of the loans came from either the artists themselves or collectors who have these works. But I think for us, if we had a few more years and if the pandemic hadn't interrupted our curation, it would have been far more global. And what I want listeners to begin to see are kind of the edges between the museum world, the art market and artists in the world.
