The Implications of Language in a Colonial Order

The impact of the play was really huge in terms of attendance. We passed from different parts of the country to come and see the play. And then November, I think November 11, 1977, it was stopped by the Kenyan government. In December, the same three months later, I was arrested by armed policemen. So January 1, 1978, I was in a maximum security prison, a man without a name. That's the moment I decided to embark on a cool language.
