"I'm fascinated by what I consider to be real problems in epistemology," he says. "There is this weird way in which people somehow think that some of the deepest answers about the mind are, right? We've just been waiting for the right technology to see it in the brain." He also has a second pet peeve: The idea that psychological questions will come from an understanding of how the brain works.
