i think that thoughtful christians and people who want to believe that we are in christ, jesus, they struggle with this. In what way can it be said that i'm united is that? Is that the mystical part of the doctrine of mystical union? The word 'mythical' has been used either in reference to the mysterious or in reference to something that is purely subjective. A mystical union with christ refers to the work of the holy spirit by virtue of its indwelling in us.
