The Superior Work Hypothesis

The superior war hypothesis is a few different things, it all depends on who you ask and certainly there are different versions of what it means. The basic idea typically people will say the language you speak changes the way you think. But if you look at the original claims by Benjamin Lee Worf, well it's kind of a little bit more nuanced than that. There's an extreme position which people don't really support. You know, one thing I talk about in the book is his famous discussion of the way in which he believed language was affecting the thought processes of people they were studying.
