Is There a Difference Between Economic Growth and Individual Liberty?
Poverty has real human consequences and that is the first thing. 2.5 to 3 million people come out of poverty with every 1% of GDP growth, which is why it matters. I think what is necessary, but not sufficient for economic growth is economic freedom and the rule of law. And where you don't have them, you cannot have prosperity unless you have oil or other natural resources kind of sense.
