Is Open Source the Best Fit for Your Soft Ware?
If the success of your soft ware is predicated on taking some significant risk, open source probably not be the best fit for it. Products that depend on a very specific vision are more challenging to put in the open source. Many of th advantages of the open source model are compromised by this later focus on a potentially controversial vision.
