The Role of Subscription Fees in Streaming
Netflix has an ad tier. That's where all the growth of their business is raising this lower tier where they're selling ads against it. They still have success metrics in there. There's still hiring and firing the executives based on whose show performed best. But they don't want to share that data with anybody else. And so like, I just wonder if there's something fundamentally broken about a business model that is based on subscription fees.
