Most of my colleagues in the neurosciences assume that we're neurobiological machines. And any notion of absolute free will is an illusion, you'd say? That's something close to consensus within the field of neuroscience at this time. You can predict several seconds ahead of time what a person's going to do before they're consciously aware of what they're going to do. This is the kind of data that's been quite compelling to my colleagues.
