The Euclid Mission to Explore the Dark Side of the Cosmos
A new European Space Agency telescope will be sent into space in a bid to explore the dark side of the cosmos. It's hoped that the Euclid mission will help shed some light on both dark energy and dark matter, which are two of the universe's biggest enigmas. The spacecraft's telescope has two cameras, one that can see visible light, and the other that can measure the distance between us and distant galaxies. Guadalupe Canes Herrera is a cosmologist and researcher with the European Space Agency.
