Do We Have a National Character Anymore?
Do we have a national character any more? Something that makes us all americans? It feels like we are on the brink of at least a civil war in syber space, if not the real thing. Both sides of our political divide speak about the other as though they were enemies of our state. I don't mean to suggest that the end of our republic is inevitable, but i do think it's a real danger. And this is why it is so important to study the last great republic, in the hope that we can learn from rome's mistakes so we don't repeat them.
