The Importance of Trend Followers Year
I think you were quoting somebody and I'm paraphrasing a little bit here, but it was something to the effect that trend followers year can be made by anything. It could be rough rice, oats, OJT bonds, Nasdaq 100 crude. Even smart people, they just kind of glaze over. There's something about the idea that you are agnostic to where the profits come from. Like there's an emotional attachment, I must get my profits from XYZ. But with managed futures, it's evolved into volatility management. If we get a big outlier and its correlation goes up and volatility goes up, this is a problem.
