The Free Church and Political Theology
Fraser McDonald asks what kind of political theology it could give someone who wants to be first minister, like Kate Forbes. The free church has a long Neocalvinist-influenced tradition of Christian democratic politics. It's not that the free church is anti political as a tradition, but at least from the 1980s onwards, let's say within my lifetime or Kate Forbes lifetime, the experience of being in the church was quite apolitical.
