The Importance of Doing Your Own Homework

The rule was 250,000. That's FDIC insured. Nothing above that limit. So by seeing the intervention that we saw with Silicon Valley Bank and guaranteeing the depositors, they didn't even get a haircut. But yes, you need to have some sort of incentive for people to do their homework. There is a private sector role that can provide bridge financing in these situations. The Fed wants to be longer because they want to fight inflation. And so by dragging companies like trust or law, but by erasing more capital, will dilute existing shareholders quite dramatically.
