Why Didn't We Buy Bonds With Higher Interest Rates?

We have been raising interest rates. This cost that we have linked to the increase in interest rates that we pay on banks deposits is going up, but the income that we're getting is not going up at the same rate. So there's a mismatch in our income and our costs. And part of this is linked to the fact that in recent years, we bought all of these bonds with very long maturities and very low interest rates. Theoretically, we could have sold the bonds when they were still worth more than they are at the moment.
