MR-Venography for Venous Thrombosis

Contrast enhanced MR and CT-venography are the best techniques for detecting venous thrombosis. Prinkamot hemorrhage is observed in one-third of cases, typically in the cortex and extending subcortically. Hypoplasia and or atresia of the transverseinuses can mimic a lack of flow in the sinus on non-enhanced MR-vinography.
