The West Wing State Department Meeting With Deputy Secretary of State Larry Eagleberger
In May 1990, the Liberian delegation met with Deputy Secretary of State Larry Eagleberger. Eagleberger told them a litany of what I could only call sicko predictions about what is going to happen to Liberia. He casually tells them that the CIA has estimated that the coming war is going to wipe out about one quarter of Liberia's population. Furthermore, he tells them this esteemed American statesman tells them that there are already Western business concerns in America and elsewhere that are already drawing up plans for the reconstruction of Liberia after the war had not happened yet.
