CNN's John Sutter has written a new book about Russian President Vladimir Putin. He says it is combative in the sense that some people lionize him and see him as an outlier, rather than just seeing him as Russia is. The author also argues against the idea that Putin or the FSB organized the apartment bombings in 1999.
