The Phillips curve was so appealing for good 30 years as an economic policy model. It gives us an illusion of strength which encourages strong labor demand. I don't think we're heading here into a severe recession. This is an early cycle economy that's been intercepted by this big exogenous shock and then central banks have reacted.
