discussion doesn't just happen magically. Discussion takes planning, and a lot of that planning has to do with providing students with the necessary contexts. We have a lot of debates where warlike, stand on this side if you think this. And essentially all your ing is, this is what i think. It's just like tennis. If it's spirited, the teacher says, good job. That was good. But if it's over spirited, they say, all these kids are too immature. They don't know how to engage anything.
