The Scofield Bible
In 1909, the first version of the Scofield Bible comes out. It is immediately very popular among the Moody movement crowd because it seems to just basically give some heft to things that people talk about in their sermons. But Scofield's Bible becomes sort of the default Bible of the more conservative wing of the Moody movement. Part of that is because Scofield assumes biblical inerrancy. He rejects Darwinism. These things will become major issues in the 1920s.
