It's the fiftieth anniversary a june 19 72, as when it came out. So my understanding is that it's the first porno to basically crack into the main stream. It was essentially something that made it more permissible for not just random guys to go to a porno movie theatre. And then we had, for various reasons, and explosion of the genra in the seventies, and part of second wave feminism into the late seventies and the eighties, got into attempting to ban pornography.
