There is this category of can we shake up this entry moment and say, "We're not going to require approval from the higher ups?" I think that if it's going to make communication better between the nurses and the doctors, then I don't think it's that big of a price to pay. Where I would suggest starting is pick one idea that you think is within the realm of possibility in the system. And brainstorm with two other people who are as frustrated as you are about what could we do proactively?
