The Importance of Diversity in the Life of a Software Engineer
I ran that company for seven years and then we were acquired after eight. Originally I was going to go back into just pure engineering, but during the process of exploring things, I was referred to Google as a software engineer. They actually ended up replacing that role title by the time I left as a developer relations engineer. So I liked this idea of being able to use my engineering skills, still do some of that, but also tap into some of the other things I've done in my life with like teaching and education and writing.
