The Threat Simulation Theory
A group inFinland believe that all dreams are getting us ready for threats. When youre in from a jaguar in a dream, or showing up unprepared for a test, that's just your brain practising in case. These things happen when you're awake. Your brain is simulating threats. The biggest problem with the threat simulation theory is that most dreams don't have a big threat in them. Many dreams are happy, and people are doing things they enjoy, and it just really doesn't seem to be a threat thery. It's sort of the opposite of another theory proposed by guy named sigmund freud.
