The Relationship Between God and the Woman at the Well
Bob Greene: The woman at the well is a perfect illustration of that. She's worshiping all these different gods because that's what they did in Samaria, he says. And then she felt a lot of self-hatred and shame for how she was relating to other people. That allows her to see herself and face those places that are blocked, writes Greene. Then she goes out and wants to tell now she becomes a missionary, right? Greene: It makes me think it's from that primary relationship with God where we find him that we are filled and then we go and pour out.
