The Shutter Breaks the Window Pane
Heidi said, Grandmother, look at the shutter over there, it's hanging loose. If Grandfather were here he would fasten it. Heidi burst out crying now and sobbed aloud. Can nobody make it like for you? Is there nobody who can do it, Grandmother? Nobody? The Grandmother tried all possible means to comfort the child. It rang her hard to see her terrible distress. Heidi suddenly wiped away her tears, for she had a cheering thought. I'm sure he can mend your little house and stop the rattling.
