What Do We Value and What Is It?

I was wondering about the presence of China very broadly in the film. There is this notion that we don't get a very focused and clear perception of what China, how China as a country exists in this future world. One character carries a little bit of paranoia towards certainly East Asia. And Chinese culture is obviously foregrounded in this relationship between the android and the girl. But there is this subtle element of sort of not parody, but critique about the sort of blind spots and hypocrisies of the judgmental nature of progressives.
